Pablo grew up in Victoria, BC, and after several cross-country moves settled in Quebec City in 2007. He has been translating professionally ever since, including four years in-house with a leading translation firm and a longstanding freelance practice working with agency and direct clients in a wide range of fields.
Pablo has also translated many works of Quebec fiction (full list here). He is a three-time finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award for translation, and has published shorter translations and reviews in The Globe and Mail, Granta, Geist, and the Montreal Review of Books.
He lives in Quebec City with his girlfriend and young son.
